Stephen Fitzgerald, K.C., is a graduate of Dalhousie University (B.A. 1983) and Dalhousie Law School (1986).  Called to the Newfoundland and Labrador bar in 1987.  Stephen has practiced law in St. John’s since that time.  His preferred areas of practice are insurance defence, litigation and corporate and commercial transactions.  He has appeared in all levels of Court in the province as well as various administrative and regulatory bodies.

 Stephen is a member of the Law Society of Newfoundland and Labrador and a member of the Canadian Bar Association.

Stephen was recently selected by his peers for inclusion in the 2023 Edition of The Best Lawyers in Canada for Insurance Law.
