Sarah Fitzgerald, LL.B. (Dalhousie), B.A. (Hons.) (Memorial) maintains a litigation focused practice, with her interest being in the areas of insurance defence, family law, personal injury, and employment law. She has acted on behalf of the Consumer Advocate of Newfoundland and Labrador. Sarah has appeared before all levels of court in Newfoundland & Labrador and has made successful submissions to the Supreme Court of Canada.
Outside of the courtroom, Sarah takes great satisfaction in helping her family law clients reach sensible solutions for their families. She further maintains an active real estate, wills and estate law practice.
Sarah was called to the bar in Newfoundland and Labrador in 2014. She received her law degree from Dalhousie Law School in 2013 and her undergraduate degree in English Language and Literature from Memorial University in 2010.
Sarah is a current member of the Law Society of Newfoundland & Labrador’s Education Committee and the Public Legal Information Association of NL (PLIAN). Sarah provides legal services in conjunction with The Journey Project, an organization that supports individuals who have experienced any form of sexual violence and/or intimate partner violence in their navigation of the legal system.
